Gloucester Rugby travel to Worcester Warriors on Saturday for Round 3 of the Gallagher Premiership.

Ahead of the fixture, attack coach Alex King reflected on the Leicester loss and looked ahead to the Cherry and Whites’ next match.

On Leicester Tigers

“We have worked hard this week on correcting a few parts of the game that didn’t go as well as we’d liked. We want to start better this weekend and not create such an uphill struggle for us to bring back.

“But there were loads of positives to be pleased about but we just want to improve and be better than we were last week.”

On Gloucester Rugby’s attack

“I’m pleased with the attack but I do feel that we are leaving a few tries out there. I want us to become a ruthless team and when those opportunities present themselves, I want us to get that hard-nosed winning mentality that we’re going to score.

“There’s plenty of good stuff and loads of things to build on but in this league there seems to be a lot of high scoring games. A lot of tries being scored, we’ve just got to make sure that we score more than the opposition.”

On Worcester Warriors

“They’ve started well. It was a big win at home against London Irish and then two points on the road at Harlequins. They are scoring a lot of points in high scoring games. They’re a good team and we need to make sure that we’re up for the challenge and we’re hoping that a lot of Gloucester Rugby fans make the short trip up the M5 to support us on Saturday."

On fans returning

“It’s absolutely brilliant! How good was it to see Kingsholm full again?! The greatest club ground in the league on a Friday night. It’s a shame we couldn’t finish the job on Friday but we’re looking to be better this weekend and hopefully make those fans proud of us.”
